Rapid increase in COVID-19 cases in NSW

All of us at Central Coast Haematology are concerned at the rapid increase in COVID-19 cases in NSW over the last week. We encourage our patients to proceed with a 3rd primary dose of a COVID-19 vaccine (if you have an active haematological malignancy) or a booster dose as soon as you are eligible. It is essential to continue with risk mitigation strategies (e.g. mask wearing, social distancing and hand hygiene), as recommended by NSW Health.

Rapid antigen tests are now available at supermarkets and pharmacies and can be used by people before and after attending gatherings or before visiting people who are vulnerable to infection (e.g immunocompromised people).
